Miniature Dward Bearded Iris
These are the smallest of the bearded irises, with stems from 2" to a maximum of 8". These adorable dwarf iris are very effective in the rock garden, at the edge of a gravel path, or atop the wall of a raised bed. They are the first of the bearded iris to blossom in early spring, typically mid-March in the Seattle area, after the reticulate Iris and before the SDBs. For best visual effect in the garden, plant MDBs in clumps or in a trough.
