Cascadia Iris Gardens is proud to be the featured Guest Garden for the 2017 Society for Japanese Iris Convention.
Hosted by The King County Iris Society in late June, the SJI Convention will visit four Puget Sound gardens. CIG is hosting well over 100 guest irises grown just for this event. Many of the nation’s hybridizers will be in attendance, with Don Delmez presenting a 2 hour judges training session.
Don was recently awarded the American Iris Society Hybridizers Medal for many years of effort and contributions to the iris world. If you would like a deep delve into the world of Japanese Iris, click here to download a registration form.

Learn More About Iris

 > At your club

If you need a speaker for your horticulture club, let us know. We offer basic and advanced iris programs. Margaret is a prolific photographer, so there are lots of pretty pictures to “ooh” and “aah” over. Patrick loves to hear himself speak, and it gives him another excuse to leave the weeds in peace.  If Patrick is not the right person, we can connect you with someone who has the knowledge you are seeking.

> In our garden

We will host four Open Garden Days:

  • April 29
  • May 20
  • June 17
  • July 1

These are a great chance to walk the garden with us and get all your iris questions answered. We can also host your club in our garden most weekends and occasional weekday evenings. Patrick is happy to wander the garden with your club members. Contact Patrick to schedule your appointment. Follow us on Facebook to get event reminders and updates.
